Luke Mason won the latest Leon Paul Junior Series at Plymouth, beating the top seed in the final.
Fifteen-year-old Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College student, Luke Mason, took part in another Leon Paul Junior Series event held in Plymouth.
Luke entered the epee, the most realistic of the three weapons with the least rules and won both set of pools achieving a good seed. He then won two direct eliminations to reach the final.
His opponent is ranked number one in the series, but Luke dominated the match through the first round winning 15-4.
Luke trains at Churchill Fencing Club on Wednesday evenings. It is a small, friendly club that is always looking for more members, beginners welcome. For more details, contact Des on 01934 852627.
