The Proper Job Weston & District Midweek Cricket League drew to a close with Shaftesbury Road, following their Monty Stephenson Memorial Cup win, clinching the First Division title.
The victory secured them the double as they defeated Huntspill & District in a high scoring encounter.
Batting first Huntspill made good progress with Steve Eley in good form, top scoring with 67, and his innings along with solid contributions from the other batsmen saw their total reach 178-3 off their allotted 20 overs.
The Road made a cautious start to their reply before Irwell Thomas began to find the boundary with increasing frequency and ferocity.
Good support from Jermaine Jones enabled them to reach their target for the loss of just two wickets with Thomas finishing unbeaten on 101.
Burnham-on-Sea saw their chance to overtake Shaftesbury Road disappear as they fell to defeat at the hands of Weston.
Ryan Davies made 70 out of Weston's total of 165-2 before they restricted Burnham to 137-8 to win easily.
"It's been very enjoyable this year," said League chairman Tony James.
"Having the Match of the Week competition added a bit of spice the league this year. Every team has been treated fairly with having a home match and an away fixture involved in the Match of the Week.
"Obviously, it was very tight in the fight division. There was only one point between the top and the second. It was a well contested season."
