MENDIP Spring Golf Club, in Congresbury, has become the latest in an ever-growing number of organisations to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The unit, which has been funded by the club and its members will now be available in the event of an emergency to anyone at the club, whether they are staff, member or visitor, should they suffer a sudden cardiac arrest.
The AED will be sited externally, adjacent to the professionals shop and changing rooms and will be available 24 hours a day.
