Fencer Luke Mason earned a silver medal in his latest competition in Bath.
Luke Mason, a 15-year-old Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College student, competed in another LPJS fencing competition, this time held in Bath.
He took part in the Under-15 boy’s foil and started well, winning all his bouts in the pool, gaining first seed and then went through two direct eliminations to reach the final.
This was a fast-paced match against another experienced fencer from one of the top London clubs, who Luke beat earlier in the pool.
However, this time his opponent changed tactics making Luke’s attacks fall short and then scoring with parry ripostes, with Luke picking up a silver medal.
