Ski sessions for all ages are being held in Churchill by Thurski.
WHAT started as a great way to introduce skiers of all ages and abilities into ski racing, Thurski has grown into a fun and friendly team, who are now competing in races all over the south west.
Team coaches Ian Mountjoy and Anthony Cavaciuti have many years of experience teaching and coaching skiers and are based at Mendip Snowport Centre in Churchill.
Junior member Harry Read, from Cheddar, recently came second in a race at Exeter Ski Centre. All the skiers performed brilliantly and for six adults, it was their first race.
Three sessions are held on a Thursday evening at Mendip and Millfield race team, who have British skiers and a Para-Olympian James Whitley in their team. The junior Thurski session includes skiers as young as five-years-old and the adult session has skiers aged from 16 to 60.
