Clevedon Tennis Club held its first social doubles tournament which proved a big hit with competitors.

Social doubles proved to be a hit at Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club when they held its first social doubles tournament.

With a turnout of 16 players, the stunning four floodlit courts at the club were full of competitive, but friendly doubles matches.

After two hours of enjoyable tennis, David Thomas and Ian Barnett were crowned champions before tucking into some afternoon lunch in the clubhouse.

Keep an eye out for the next competition which will be run on the first weekend in November. The club, situated on Princes Road, boasts excellent facilities including an impressive clubhouse, a play area and floodlit courts.

Now that the schools have started back, the junior programmes are in full swing throughout the week and on Saturdays. This is in addition to adult coaching sessions, cardio and club play.
