Gymnasts pick up gold medals at South West competition

Splitz Gymnastics Club members picked up several medals at the South West NDP acrobatics competition held in Yate.

Splitz Gymnastics Club competed in Yate at the South West NDP acrobatics competition and walked away with some great scores and medals.

Mixed pair Archie and Maddie performed a difficult tango routine and scored their highest ever score, bringing home a gold medal.

Mia, Amelia and Bella, in a tough category, were placed bronze after doing a fantastic routine. Jess and Lexi, walked away with gold after competing a brilliant stand-out routine.

Highlight of the weekend was the gymnasts and parents meeting some of the gym stars and watching them perform breathtaking routines.

This concluded the club’s acro regional competition season and had an amazing competition year, taking home 76 medals - 40 gold, 13 silver and 23 bronze.

The club is so proud of all of the gymnasts who have competed, from potential acro, competition to elite squad. Thanks go to the coaches for their hard work with the gymnasts, the parents for their support and the gymnasts for their hard work, dedication and commitment to the club.
