Stacey Caple has been appointed team manager for the cream of the south west under-16 hockey players.
WINSCOMBE Hockey Club member Stacey Caple has just been appointed team manager for the Wessex Leopards Under-16s girls’ team for the forthcoming Futures Cup.
These are the best 18 players of their age group in the South West who have worked their way up through England Hockey’s Single System.
The Futures Cup replicates an international tournament and brings together the top 72 players per age group who compete to win a place in the England Under-16 team.
The tournament is held over a weekend at the end of October in Cannock and Stacey will manage, organise and look after the girls for the four days.
Stacey is a Level 2 qualified hockey coach and has a degree in sports coaching and was a team manager last year for an Under-15 age group at a training weekend for England Hockey.
