Students gain silver and bronze medals

Two Churchill Fencing Club members gained medals at the Gloucester Under-20 epee tournament.

Two students from Sidcot School and Churchill Fencing Club took part in the Gloucester Under-20 epee tournament.

Hamish Lam, aged 18, came second (left in photo) and Koichiro Fueda, also 18, came third and both fenced with great skill and determination.

Making his debut in competitive fencing was Zach Townsend, aged 14, also from Sidcot/Churchill, took part in the South West Epee qualifiers.

He fenced brilliantly throughout the day gaining a bronze medal. He has now qualified for the British Youth Championships in Sheffield in April.
