THE 13th Brean Stages Rally was won by Peter Lloyd and Graham Handley in their super quick Subaru Impreza S12 WRC. This was Peter's third victory in the events, his first since 2001. Peter led through Saturday's eight stages and after the overnight Park Ferme the remaining 76 crews took to the start on Sunday morning.With the field re-seeded Peter Lloyd led the cars away on stage 9, but David Kynaston, playing catch-up after his day one drama, posted the quickest time on this the first of the day's six stages. Early retirement on the day was Karl Broad and Trasie Moore who had been in second place with the sole Metro 6R4 but he limped out of stage 9 with broken steering. By the end of stage 10 David Kynaston and Andy Russell had launched their fight back in the Audi A4 Quattro, slotting into second place, just 17 seconds behind the Subaru Imprezza of Lloyd and Handley, overtaking the Furzeland's Subaru Impreza in the process, giving the win by a 21-second margin to Peter Lloyd.
