Twenty-nine competitors took part in Weston Motor Club’s autocross, held at Collum Farm, Kewstoke.
Weston Motor Club promoted a first class autocross, sponsored by SGS Gases at Collum Farm, Kewstoke, with 29 competitors racing (two at a time) around four laps of a 0.8 mile circuit in a freshly-cut grass field.
Competitors from many parts of the South and South West and even South Wales took part. Competition was close in all the classes, but at the end of the event the award for fastest time of the day went to Richard Davies, who drove a superb four laps in his Vauxhall Special with a time of just over 3.5 minutes for the 3.2 mile course.
Local driver and club member, Alan Holly, in his Mitsubishi Evo, was second in the class for four-wheel drive cars and another Weston member, Andy Turner, also had a great day in his MG ZR, taking second in class for modified production cars.
