A summer grading was held at Hans Price Academy by Weston Karate Club.
WESTON Karate Club held its summer grading at Hans Price Academy.
Gradings are a nervous time, an individuals character is put to the test under old traditional exam conditions established many years ago and practiced today all over the world.
It is normal to pick out a student for a special mention. This time it was James (second row, far right), who has shown great enthusiasm since he started training three months ago.
Shotokan Karate is an individual activity which focuses on improving an individual’s confidence, concentration, co-ordination and self-control in a disciplined environment.
It was exceptional to see the confidence, commitment and effort displayed by the students in front of the grading panel.
A new beginners course is starting next week at Hutton Moor, with the first two weeks completely free.
