THE third weekend of the Somerset County championships saw the Weston swimmers add another seven medals to their already impressive haul, taking the count to 21 altogether. These came in the 15 years girls 100 metre breaststroke where Emily Voisey swam a 1.19.08 to take a bronze medal. Nine year Emily Watkins took her second medal of the championships in the 200m backstroke where a time of 3.08.89 gave her a bronze. James Bramwell, swimming in the 10 years age group, earned his bronze in 200m breaststroke swimming a 3.31.77. Esme Gullick completed the bronze medal placings where a 2.35.49 was enough for a third place in the 13 years 200m butterfly. Bartex Kryzaniak continued his impressive first County Championships taking a gold in the 14 years 100m freestyle (56.40). In the team events, the open men's freestyle team of Bartex Kryzaniak, Chris Knight, Ross Ford and Ben Simpson earned a podium finish, swimming a 1.42.67 to take a third place in the 4x2 freestyle relay. In the medley event the team excelled themselves, beating some of the best county men's teams on their way to taking a silver. Well done to Bartex Kryzaniak, Chris Knight, Ross Ford and Ben Simpson.Another 14 Southwest regional qualifying times were achieved over the weekend, well done to Kate Davies, 13 years 100m breaststroke (1.12.35); Charlotte Bradley, 13 years 100m breaststroke (1.24.50); Emily Voisey, 15 years 100m breaststroke (1.20.87); Bartex Kryzaniak, 14 years 100m butterfly (1.02.16). In the 200m backstroke times were achieved by 10 years Lucy Davies (2.51.90); Holly Gullick 12 years (2.40.45); Katie Watkins 13 years (2.37.23); Esme Gullick 13 years (2.28.45); Emily Voisey 15 years (2.35.23).
