Team Mendip Under-12 Black Sox remain second in the league, following a 12-0 victory over Clevedon.

Team Mendip Under-12 Black Sox took a few minutes to warm up and get into the match against Clevedon, but soon found their form and were rewarded with a goal after five minutes from Willow Hull.

Some fantastic tackling and teamwork from Chloe and Charlotte Morris in midfield set up another goal, when Hull crossed the ball into the box for Tegan Roberts to find the back of the net.

Clevedon started to pull together and made a fantastic break, but were denied a goal by a great save from Mendip keeper Ellie Mae Brennan. Mendip immediately responded with another break and goal from Hull to put them 3-0 up.

A fantastic cross from new team member Amelie Ford found Hull scoring goal number four and a couple of minutes later a great shot from Ford made it 5-0.

Clevedon again managed to make some dangerous breaks, but solid defending from Daisy Robins and Jessica Selwyn stopped them finding their target. A goal in the 29th minute by Hull put Mendip 6-0 up at the break.

The second half saw a stronger, more determined Clevedon team emerge, but Mendip raised their game with some fantastic communication and team work, seeing further goals from Chloe Morris (2), Ford (2), Hull and defender Robins scoring in the last minute to make it 12-0 at full-time.

Team Mendip Black Sox are currently second in their league after winning all but one of their matches so far, only losing to current leaders Yeovil Town.
