Third place finish for Weston

Weston finished third in the Somerset Super Darts League after winning their final game at Williton.
WESTON travelled to Williton in their final Somerset Super Darts League match of the season.
Weston started well with George Turnbull (24.48) notching up a 3-0 win along with Martin Vanedgemeister (20.63) 3-1. Weston let a couple slide before Graeme Pow (21.88) and Phil Mitchell (21.85) both won 3-0.
The visitors carried on fighting hard with some good darts thrown by Seamus Slattery (25.45) 3-1 and Clive Strong (25.05), who had a tough match but came out a 3-2 victor. Bobby Moore (21.71) carried the momentum going 3-1 and the singles was finished off by Jimmy Hunt also winning 3-1.
Weston went into the pairs leading 27-18, but got off to a bad start losing the first game, but Pow/Mitchell restored the lead with a 3-2 victory followed by Slattery/Tyler 3- 1.
The Seasiders promptly lost the next game, giving Williton a glimmer of hope, but Moore/Vanedgemeister put the game to bed with a 3-2 victory, Weston finishing eventual winners 39-32. This left Weston in third spot for the season.
180s were hit by Nick English, Ian Cope, Jimmy Hunt. Man of the match went to Seamus Slattery and player of the season to George Turnbull.
