PRIORY Under-14 volleyball team took part in the third SW Grand Prix event of the season in Melksham recently.
For the team of Angelika Cis, Mitch Jenkins, Josh Lowrie and Kieran Manning, this was their first competition since November. However, they started the day with a fine win against Melksham, starting where they left off in November.
There were further victories against two teams from the Academy club in North Devon, with Priory producing some good attacks with their serving and their hitting.
They went on to lose to two strong teams - the Academy first team and Wessex from Poole, which meant that Priory took third place on the day.
The final round of the Grand Prix series takes place in Bournemouth in March. Assuming that the team continues its good form, it should take second or third place overall in the series.
