Local angler Tich Williams won an open match at Shiplate Farm, Bleadon.
AN open match on the Main Lake at Shiplate Farm, Bleadon, gave great results for local angler Tich Williams.
The change in air pressure and cooler weather had unsettled the fish, but Williams managed to tempt some good sized carp into his swim. Fishing pellet on the tip and feeding small PVA bags of pellet, he won the match with an impressive 133lb 12oz.
Results: Tich Williams (Thyers) (peg 15), 133lb 12oz; Rich Hawkins (Royal Mail) (peg 5), 70lb 10oz; Simon Ryall (Shiplate) (peg 7), 61lb 6oz. Silvers went to James Redman (Shiplate) (peg 13), 19lb 10oz.
Muller Road AC held a club match on the Hawthorns. Results: Simon Diment (peg 3), 92lb 8oz; Allan Graham (peg 2), 43lb; Lorraine White (peg 9), 37lb 4oz.
