MEDIVALE’S hopes of retaining the league title all but disappeared, but not before both teams gave their all in an end-to-end game.

Woodspring took the lead early in the first half and it was not until 10 minutes into the second half when Medivale equalised. A shot from Callum McManus took a heavy deflection and ended up in the net.

A brilliant five-man move ended when Brayer fired home to make it 2-1, then five minutes later Troy Hayes scored his 15th goal of the season to put Medivale 3-1 up.

Woodspring fought back and scored with a scrappy goal. With five minutes left Woodspring were awarded a penalty, which Ollie Bliss fired home for the equaliser. With literally seconds remaining, Brayer burst through, only to see his effort go just wide.
