TWO teenagers have been given a top honour for their kickboxing skills.
Alex Forrest and Greg Traviss, who both study Shin Tai at Combat Gym in Weston, gained their black belt qualification.
Their certificates were presented after a gruelling six-hour grading in which they had to show off their determination, skill and knowledge of the craft in front of peers.
Both 14-year-olds have been training under chief instructor Kevin Ludick since they were 10 and are the first junior students from the gym to achieve the award.
Alex and Greg collected their certificates from mayor Mike Kellaway-Marriott when he visited the gym as part of it's third birthday celebrations.
Kevin said: "I am proud of their achievement, as well as that of all the students who have achieved black belt qualifications with me.
"They are an example to all the people of Weston and have shown that, with determination, you can achieve a high goal and excel in your chosen path.
