MENDIP Girls Under-12s enjoyed a good start to the end of season tournaments at Mangotsfield.
After a shaky start, and goals from Charlotte Cooper, they made it to the semi-finals, after a penalty shoot-out and a great save from Letaasi Lucas the final beckoned.
This was against Ashton Girls, and after five minutes Kennedy Bonner popped up to score the only goal of the game.
What a great performance from the only pure all-girls football team in the south west. Mendip Girls are presently looking to strengthen their Under-12 squad, as they move up to 11-a-side football next season. If you are interested give Nick Sturman a call on 07825 557876.
