Matt Powell got the week's highest break of 36 while winning the two middle frames, but either side doubles by Dave Cryer and Mark Walsh gave the visitors victory.
Rovers moved into second place with a 5-1 victory at Clevedon Conservatives B although the A team saw more success in a 4-2 win at Cleeve Corners.
Backwell Lucky 13 recorded their first win of the season by 4-2 over Peelers and move above them at the bottom of the league. Two victories by Brian Wilson and single frames for Mike and Mitch Wilson gave them the victory with George Rowe and Mac MacDonald replying for the visitors.
