WESTON will face a trip to London in the third round of qualifying for this year’s FA Cup.

The draw for the next round of qualifying, after the Seagulls overcame 10th-tier Hook Norton 2-1 on Saturday, will pit Ryan Northmore’s side against Wingate and Finchley at their Harry Abrahams Stadium on October 10.

The hosts, who are based in Barnet, play in the Ryman Premier League, one division below Weston, and overcame Concord Rangers 2-1 in the previous qualifying round.

They are managed by Daniel Nielsen, a former first-teamer who was promoted to boss in June 2013 as part of a backroom shake-up, and has taken The Blues to sixth in the league after a promising start to the season.

The draw was made at Wembley earlier today (Monday), and could see Weston add to the £4,500 they pocketed after this weekend’s victory, with third-round winners picking up another £7,500 in prize money.

A win would put them just one match from reaching the First Round Proper of the cup, emulating their achievements from last season, when they went down 4-1 to League One Doncaster Rovers at the Woodspring Stadium in November.
