KINGFISHERS remain undefeated after securing a 49-15 win over Wyvern.
Initially, Wyvern’s defence proved tricky, particularly with the long arms of the tall GK. However, Kingfishers, sponsored by Hussain’s Indian Restaurant, gained composure with effective passes around the circle allowing Sarah to be on super form with her long-range shooting.
Every player was eager for the ball and tight man-on-man marking meant interceptions were rife up and down the court, especially from Laura, Caroline and Nadine (player of match).
The defence (Nicky and Kelly) ball watched beautifully, rattling Wyvern’s attackers, meaning they only scored 15 goals.
