CLEVEDON Town's Under-18s had a good win in their opening Somerset County Floodlit League game at Welton Rovers.

With Town putting pressure on the home side from the off, their reward came when Robert Harroway put them ahead. Once the first went in, goals came at regular intervals with Jamie Adams and Adam West putting them 3-0 up at the break.

In the second half, although Welton tried to make a game of it, the pressure was always there with Harroway getting his second and Justin Seale (2) adding misery on the home side.

When Tomas Blackall came on in the 75th minute, he made his mark on his debut, scoring twice to complete the scoring.

Manager Ricky Adams commented: "It was a good start for us, but we have a long season. We all played well with James Weston dominating the middle. As for our debutant keeper Sam Hacker, what a game he had.

"We travel to Forest Green next for a mouth-watering FA Youth Cup second round game where we will be underdogs, but I hope to be at full strength and not there to make the numbers up."
