Weston United are looking for promotion in this top of the table clash against Wiveliscombe.

WESTON United hope to be one of two teams promoted to the Somerset Premier Division when they entertain Wiveliscombe at the Recreation Ground on Saturday in their final match of the season.

Wiveliscombe currently occupy second position in Somerset 1 with 102 points while skipper Stuart Board’s team are third with 100 following their 36-24 victory at Bridgwater last Saturday.

Nailsea and Backwell, who are favourites for promotion as leaders with 103 points, also have one match to play at Old Sulians.

The Seasiders’ second string will be hoping for a large volume of support for Saturday’s match which was postponed due to a weather-affected pitch on January 29. The kick-off will be at 3pm.
