Uphill men were swept away by a powerful Clevedon Feathers side in the North Somerset Badminton League.
CLEVEDON Feathers men’s team continue their dominance in the North Somerset Badminton League Division 1.
Playing at home, Clevedon outplayed Uphill in sweeping to their third successive win this season, with an impressive 6-0 victory.
Olly Powers and Ian Coles won all three of their rubbers in two games. Uphill provided some resistance with Ian Gilmore and Keith Higgins managing to take captain Billy Mallet and junior Jack Rickford to three games, with Feathers doubles pair winning 22-20, 19-21, 21-13.
Uphill captain Bill Ponting said: “Three of our four members of the team are from the promoted B team and are finding the standard of games in the division very competitive, but we are steadily improving and yet to play our best badminton.”
