Weston boxer Vangelis Antonio became the WFA heavyweight British champion at a fight show in Knowle, Bristol.
WESTON resident and Pro-K’s (Bristol) boxer, Vangelis Antonio fought for the WFA heavyweight British title on the Best Of The Best Bristol fight show in Knowle, Bristol.
Vangelis, who is coached by David Clatworthy and Ross Chick, won the bout by a unanimous points decision against an experienced opponent.
The Weston boxer came out on top after almost stopping his opponent in the final round, with the referee giving him a standing count after a flurry of punches with the final bell saving him.
Vangelis’ next bout is for the WCA English title in Calne, Wiltshire on July 4.
