Vinny goes European

AVENUE Tennis Club head coach, Vinny Duddy, has qualified as a European professional tennis coach after passing the Registro Profesional De Tenis (RPT the Spanish equivalent of the British LTA) examination following a six-day intensive training coaching course, in Birmingham.

AVENUE Tennis Club head coach, Vinny Duddy, has qualified as a European professional tennis coach after passing the Registro Profesional De Tenis (RPT the Spanish equivalent of the British LTA) examination following a six-day intensive training coaching course, in Birmingham.

The Avenue coaching programme provides for all standards and age of player. The club also has a thriving social play section for all ages and abilities and has several teams in the local Someset tennis leagues – visit the club’s website for details – www.avenuetennis.com

A junior yellow ball competition will be held on February 26 from 1pm and is open to members and non members. The club will also be running a Mini Red Ball Tournament on February 27 from 11am.

The February school holiday junior tennis camp will run from 9am-4pm from February 21-25, forms are available from the clubhouse or from the website.
