Vinnys Minis have been restarted at the Avenue Tennis Club in Burnham on Friday evenings.

The Avenue Tennis Club at Burnham has restarted Vinnys Minis, which are free Friday tennis sessions (6-7pm) for junior members up to year group six.

Just turn up on the evening with a drink, all equipment supplied and leave the kids with the coaches. Stay and get involved or spend some time in the clubhouse having a coffee or another beverage from the well stocked bar (wi-fi available).

Former head coach, Vinny Duddy, said: “The sessions have been brought back to try and encourage younger families back to the club to get involved in tennis. There is currently a month’s free membership available for all age groups to come along, have a go and see if tennis is for them.”

Duddy said that he wanted to thank Heather Duddy, Lyndsey Dyson, Tom Spink and Matthias Benischke for helping out on the evening, giving up their spare time to help the new players with the skills and games played.

The club has a variety of coaching or social play sessions on offer throughout the weekday and evenings for members and non members – see the website www.avenuetennis.com or contact the club on 01278 782758.
