Winscombe Cricket Club is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the building of their clubhouse with a weekend of events.
WINSCOMBE Cricket Club is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the building of their clubhouse with a weekend of events.
On July 1, there will be a four-way skittles match between Winscombe Cricket Club and teams from the Weston and District League, Wrington Vale League and the Central League.
The match starts at 7.30pm and the teams will be playing for the 50th anniversary trophy. Spectators are welcome.
The following day, the cricket club are playing host to Cheddar. The game starts at 1.45pm. In the evening, local band, the J D Experience will be playing from 8.30pm. Again, food is available and tickets are available from the cricket club, in advance, and on the door and cost �5 each.
Then on July 3,, the club are hosting a match against a team from BBC Bristol during the afternoon. There will be tea and cakes during the match for supporters and visitors. There will also be a family day and a barbecue running throughout the day.
