In Division One of the Weston & District Midweek League, George Nuttycombe contributed 36 at the start of the President's innings before Jack Luff began to savage the Huntspill & District attack with an impressive display of strokes.

Luff finished undefeated on 110 out of a total of 213-5 with Kit Hockey taking (1-27), Ethan James, (1-38) and Tom Greenaway (2-40).

Jake Randall made 35 and Matt Osmant 31 as Huntspill tried to match the required rate but 26 not out from Wayne Hand and 42 not out from Shaun Lismore was not enough as they finished 17 runs short.

Nilanjan Chatterjee took 2-33, as Sam Jennings, (2-23) and CJ Neate (1-25) also had success.

In Division Two, Cheddar's Scott Harris almost defeated Churchill on his own as he scored an unbeaten 124 out of the required 155.

Will Pearce made 20 and Lewis Gilbert 18 to give Churchill a solid start before 43 from George Braefield and contributions from the lower order achieved a total of 154-6 with David Gooch taking (2-21).

Harris then dominated the reply with an innings that relegated his partners to onlookers as he took his side to victory with three balls and six wickets left.

Rob Pomeroy and Adam Lee both took an early wicket before a third-wicket stand between James Chinnock and Sam Tinklin resurrected Mark's innings.

When they were dismissed, Tinklin for 33 and Chinnock for 49, only Tim Moxey with 19 made any impression as Rhys Ford claimed 6-38 and Ardash Sudarsanan 2-29 in a final total of 128.

Pomeroy and Curtis Morris began the reply in belligerent fashion with a barrage of boundaries.

And the introduction of some unorthodox bowling failed to stem the onslaught as East Huntspill romped to a 10 wicket win with Pomeroy making 65 and Morris 53.
