WESTON are facing a fixture pile-up after seeing a second straight Vanarama South match called off in the space of three days.

Tonight’s (Tuesday) tie with Basingstoke has followed Saturday’s game with Eastbourne Borough in falling foul of the weather, after a frozen pitch put paid to the Seagulls’ chance of extending their recent good form.

Ryan Northmore’s side, who have picked up 16 points from their last seven league games, have as many as three games in hand on their nearest rivals and already have six league games on the fixture list during February, a figure which may increase once tonight’s tie is re-arranged.

Weston are next in action on January 27, when they host Bridgwater Town in the Somerset Premier Cup, kick-off 7.45pm.
