Weston Aerobic Gymnastics Club celebrated a fantastic 12 months with a bang.

AFTER a fantastic 12 months, Weston Aerobic Gymnastics Club managed to top off their most successful year ever with a bang.

With the club’s annual awards and Great Britain squads announced, the last training session of the year was sure to be an exiting one.

Starting with national awards, the deserving winners were - NAC gymnast of the year: Izzy Worral; reserve gymnast of the year: Cally Bullock; most improved: Xena Hewett; reserve most improved: Ella Mai Paige.

International gymnasts yearly awards - FIG gymnast of the year: Keira Landen; reserve gymnast of the year: Katy Day; most improved gymnast; Beth Kemmish; reserve most improved gymnast: Lauren Denscombe.

Finally, the recipient of team spirit, an award for going above and beyond the job description of welfare officer and a deserving winner is Debbie Antoine.

Thanks to an incredible team of coaches, choreographers, parents and helpers, the club is proud to announce a record number of gymnasts have made the Great Britain squad for 2015.

Filling places in every squad from nine-years-old to 18, Weston’s GB gymnasts are: Lola Lawrence, Gemma Handley, Tianna Marshal, Molly Brown, Bella Styles, Toby Baker, Lewis Harvey, Ellie Hayes, Xena Hewitt, Isidora Vucicevic, Katy Day, Keira Landen, Rhys Williams, Ben Payne and Matthew Saunders.

Club coach and GB coach Kat Saunders said: “I cannot wait for what 2015 brings gymnasts and coaches from Weston AGC, with hard work the year could see more milestones reached from these gymnasts.”
