Robinsons 4 Weston 1WESTON travelled to mid-table Robinsons knowing a win would move them away from the bottom and into middle of the table. Weston started strongly and created a number of chances that were not put away. Hart and Bearsby were in fine form winning three short corners which were not converted. Robinsons slowly got in to the match and just before half time they scored from a short corner and added another from a well-worked break.Weston started the second half strongly with Long working hard in midfield alongside the experienced Price showing his class with a controlled performance. Gambling was again solid at sweeper which helped Weston push forward. Weston created chances but failed to convert, while Robinsons were happy to sit back and hit Weston on the break, they always looked dangerous and scored again from a short corner. Finally, Long scored from a Weston short corner but then conceded another on the break. This was a disappointing result but the general play deserved more.Man of the match was Alex Frankpitt and the sponsors Anchor award went to captain Duncan Long for his vision in midfield.
