WESTON’S league match has been called off tonight (Tues).
The Seagulls were due to travel to Bishop’s Stortford but the game has been postponed after heavy weather battered Hertfordshire overnight.
A spokesman for the home side said: “Despite the massive amount of work completed by the ground staff over the weekend and Monday, the heavy overnight rain, the extremely high water table plus the current rainfall has left the pitch waterlogged in one area.
“Following an 11am pitch inspection, the referee had deemed this area unsafe for the match to take place.”
The match will now take place on March 27.
