Weston RFC have announced the deaths of Terry Collard and Seamus McNally.
Terry, father to former player and youth coach Jarad, sadly died on February 18 after falling ill with a chest infection and the club have plans to hold a tribute in his honour when things get back to normal.
“I cannot say I knew Terry well but on his visits to the club there was always laughter,” chairman Peter Land told the club’s website.
“I once heard it said that the person never dies unless the memories die. With someone like Terry there appear to be lots of memories.”
Long-serving member McNally is understood to have passed away from coronavirus one week after Collard.
He had been almost ever-present at The Recreational Ground for decades and Weston have confirmed there will be an empty space near the entrance door next season.
Land added: “Rest in Peace Seamus and thank you for your support over the years.”
