Weston were defeated by just two points by Bridgwater in the Somerset Super Darts League.

Weston travelled to Bridgwater in the Somerset Super Darts League and got off to a good start with Ian Cope (20.90) winning 4-3, along with Ryan Camp (22.54) on board one winning 4-2.

Si Clegg followed this up with a 4-0 win, but Bridgwater fought back taking the next two games on each board keeping the game very close in legs.

George Turnbull (21.98) steadied the ship winning 4-1 along with Paul Tyler(22.48) taking down Andy Darbon 4-2, but Bridgwater had the last say taking both of the last games on each board to finish the singles up at 36 to Weston’s 35.

Going into the pairs, Bridgwater got out the blocks much better, but Weston kept in it chipping legs, but lost too many to come back from, but this did not stop skipper Nick English throwing everything at them winning 2-0 with Vanedgemeister and Mike Norton/Scrapper also winning 2-0.

Weston were unlucky on the night falling just short, losing 44-46. 180s were hit by Ryan Camp, Ben Lewis, Clegg, Turnbull and Norton. Curry Gardens man of the match went to Paul Tyler for his singles and pairs wins.

The next game is home against league leaders Radstock on April 29.
