WESTON-SUPER-MARE make the long trip to Blundell Park tomorrow (Saturday), to take on Grimsby Town in the second round of the FA Trophy.
It appears an uphill task for the Seagulls, but Ryan Northmore’s side are unbeaten in their previous eight matches dating back to November 14 in a run that has seen them surge up the league table.
They face Grimsby, who are flying high, sitting third in the Vanarama National League. The Mariners have not tasted defeat since their 1-0 loss to Cheltenham on October 30. They overcame Solihull Moors 3-2 in the First Round.
Something will have to give in this tie and Weston are fresh off the back of a 3-2 victory over Wealdstone on Monday night.
The match means Weston’s scheduled league clash with St Albans City has been put back.
