Weston-super-Mare travelled to Taunton for their latest Somerset Super League darts match.

Clive Strong (23.19), got Weston off to a terrific start with a 4-3 win on board two and skipper, Nick English (22.76) claimed his match 4-2 on board one.

Gary Deakin (22.88) recorded a 4-1 before the next victory, a 4-2 success for Ryan Camp (20.57).

Weston then lost a couple of matches as Taunton enjoyed some success, but Weston were soon back winning with Paul Tyler (22.56) and George Turnbull (21.93), both securing 4-3 wins.

The singles were rounded off in emphatic style with Graeme Pow (22.54), powering to a 4-0 win.

Weston went into the pairs with a four point advantage at 38-34, but the lead was swiftly extended by English and Baker winning 2-0 and then Camp and Pow matched that score.

Weston lost the next two doubles matches which gave the home side hope, but 2-0 wins for Strong and Tyler and also Edge and Harris, saw Weston to an overall 46-38 win, a victory that keeps them top of the table.

There were maximums (180s) hit by Nick English, George Turnbull and Dave Baker. The Curry Gardens Man of the Match award went to Clive Strong.

The next Super League game for Weston is the February 24 visit to Keynsham with the bus departing the 49 Club at 6,30pm.
