Weston Swimming Club finished third at the county championships after three and a half weekend’s of competition.
AFTER three and a half long weekends of commitment from swimmers, officials, team managers, coaches and parents, Weston Swimming Club finished this year’s Somerset County Championships in a fantastic third position.
The county championships allow the best swimmers to compete against each other, gaining points for the top eight places in each event. When the age group points were combined, the highlights include Weston achieving first place for the 13-year girls, second place for 15-year girls and second overall (combined points for boys and girls) in 11 and 13 year age group.
Meanwhile, at the London Aquatic Centre, Weston members Sarah Carr (67th in the Under-12 age group), Jasmine Moroney (10th in the Under-16 age group) and Imogen Moroney (1st in the Under-15 age group) competed at the British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships.
