Two Weston Tennis Club youngsters won their events at a LTA tournament at Cheddar.
Two promising members of Weston Tennis Club won their events at a LTA tournament held at Cheddar.
Maddox Gould was successful in the 10 and under green ball event and Joshua Weall was successful in the nine and under orange ball event.
The two boys also competed in the Avon County Championships at Redland, Bristol, with Maddox finishing fourth and Joshua fifth, which was impressive as it was a county level tournament.
Both boys are being coached by Weston Tennis Club head coach, Jamie Allen, who said: “I am delighted with the progress being made by both players.”
Weston Tennis Club, based in Neva Road, provides opportunities for competitive and social play throughout the year and under floodlights during the winter on its five courts.
Beginners, intermediates and advanced players are all welcome. Jamie Allen provides group and individual coaching for both adults and juniors throughout the week.
