Winning start for Weston swimmers
WESTON Swimming Club got off to a great start to this year s Southern Junior League competition, competing against Claysmore, Melksham, Swindon, Southwold and Wells and Shepton Mallet.
WESTON Swimming Club got off to a great start to this year's Southern Junior League competition, competing against Claysmore, Melksham, Swindon, Southwold and Wells and Shepton Mallet. The youngsters took a top three placing in every event to win the first round of the competition. Of the 49 races the swimmers took 29 first places. Well done to the 10 year girls 4 x 1 medley team of Emily Watkins, Millie Dadds, Evan King and Brooke Edwards. The boys 10 year 4 x 1 medley team of Elliot Jenkins, James Bramwell, Reece Trapani and Joe Duran. Boys 11 years freestyle relay of James Gahame, Scott Bradley, James Bramwell and Reece Trapani. The girls 12 years medley relay of Holly Gullick, Lucy Davies, Sadie Coles and Jennie Kuht. Boys 12 years medley of Scott Bradley, Luke Johnson, James Gahame and Ali Jones. Girls 10 years freestyle relay team of Lucy Davies, Lauren Gifford, Millie Dadds and Evan King. Boys 11 years medley relay team of Reece Trapani, James Bramwell, Scott Bradley and James Gahame. Girls 12 years 4 x 1 freestyle of Holly Gullick, Jennie Kuht, Lucy Davies and Sadie Coles. Boys 12 years 4 x 1 freestyle team of Ali Jones, Luke Johnson, James Gahame and Scott Bradley. The mixed 8 x 1 freestyle relay of Summer Davis, Jake Middleton, Lucy Davies, Reece Trapani, Indea Lucas, James Gahame, Holly Gullick and Ali Jones. In the individuals, top spots went to Lucy Davies 10 year 2 length breast (41.76); James Bramwell 10 year 2 length breast (44.53); Scot Bradley 11 years 2L back (37.74); Ali Jones 12 year 2L fly (34.79); Emily Watkins 10 year 2L back (40.56); and Reece Trapani 10 years 2L back (40.06).
