JOSH Rammage and Dale Wood from Weston-based Team Savage, the home of various world champions, both had cage fighting bouts in the prestigious Bushido Challenge.

Wood squared off first against Jamie Reynolds. The fight started with both fighters exchanging punches. However, it was not long before Wood established his strong hold and began to dominate the fight in the standing position.

The fight continued through all three five minute rounds with Wood gaining a unanimous victory.

Next up was Rammage, who took on Stephen Gillespie, known for his jujitsu skills. At the sound of the first bell, both fighters went to score a knockout. Rammage landed a perfect cross that forced Gillespie to attempt a takedown, but Rammage sunk in a deep choke. Gillespie reversed the position, but almost instantly Rammage sunk in a triangle choke to take victory.

Rammage has now progressed for a shot at the title for his next bout. Both fighters train out of the Team Savage Academy in Weston.
