Winscombe juniors in tournament action

Juniors from Winscombe Tennis Club took part in the club’s singles tournaments.

THE juniors at Winscombe Tennis Club took part in the club’s Under-10 and Under-16 boy’s singles tournaments.

In the Under-10s, Emma took on Josh in a mini-orange match. After five well-fought sets, Josh took the win, 44 points to 29.

The Under-16 tournament saw six boys take each other on in a round-robin event. The competition was close, with the top four players being separated by only five games.

The round-robin ended with both John and Luke level on 18 games each. A final three game tie-breaker saw Luke eventually win 2-0.
