Locking Park 3
Nailsea Utd A 2
A POOR first-half followed by a barn-storming second, saw Locking Park overcome a two-goal deficit to beat Nailsea 3-2.
Nailsea took the lead when a mistake by Jake Farrow in the Locking Park goal gifted a goal. A good chance for the equaliser came when Tommy Rolls was fouled just outside the Nailsea area, but Mike Green sent the free kick over the bar.
After the break, multiple chances were spurned by Ryan Harris and Joe Beattie, but Nailsea scored against the run of play.
Park got their reward when Rory Atkins netted after being set up by James Bromley. The game was level 15 minutes later with Harris scoring, before the netted the winner with minutes remaining.
Locking Park man of the match went to Jack Poole.
Clapton-in-Gordano Res 1
Dynamo Locking 2
DYNAMO Locking turned in a battling display against Clapton-in-Gordano Reserves to claim maximum points in a tight top-of-the-table clash.
A goal-less first-half was a reflection on two sides who came into the match level on points at the apex of the league as neither could carve out any clear-cut opportunities in the opening period.
The second half saw Clapton dominate possession, but Dynamo were organised across the pitch and resolute defensively. The resilience paid off and Dynamo were rewarded from a set piece. Kyle Hobden crossed for Matt Hollow to score.
Clapton claimed an equaliser before Matt Burland made a fine save to tip the ball onto the post. Dynamo were galvanised by their defensive solidarity and went in search of a winner. A long clearance from Burland was controlled by Hobden before setting up Hollow to double the away team’s advantage.
The Raddy’s Cafe and Bar man of the match was shared between Matt Burland and Ben Hollow.
