Wrington Redhill Reserves maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-0 victory at Winscombe.

WRINGTON Redhill Reserves extended their unbeaten start to the season to six games as they completed a comfortable league double over Winscombe A.

Winger Tom Johnson epitomised the attacking intent of the team throughout, terrorising the Winscombe defence. The visitors took the lead in the 25th minute when Chris Vowles netted.

Vowles netted his second from the penalty spot after James Marshall was fouled in the area to give Wrington a 2-0 lead at half-time.

After the break, Louis Rouvrais’ cross was headed home by Joe Moore and the scoring was completed when Rouvrais headed home a Mick Edmunds corner.

Keeper James Vowles put in an assured performance in goal, well supported by a back three of captain Phil Williams, Callum Briggs and Nick Curtis. Paul Faulkner also provided excellent cover for his defence.
