YATTON travelled to Cullumpton for the first time in the League, still hopeful of an improvement in their position.

Cullumpton fielded a confident side and Yatton were three points behind after just five minutes with a penalty kicked by Pearce. Yatton tried to contain the home side with some solid defence but in the 22nd minute Laskey took a competent try in the corner, Pearce converted.

Gingell grounded their second try in the 32nd minute and Yatton were still reeling, when, Gingell burst through for the third try just before half time, Pearce converting.

Yatton started the second half with spirit and with an excellent break Rhys Davies set up the forwards to give a platform for their first try scored by Rhys and converted by George Osborne. Yatton had more the game in the third quarter and their backs worked a good try, Joe Booth going over in the corner after 22 minutes, Osborne converting from the touchline bringing the score to 23 -15.

Although Yatton showed promise throughout the game, their young players especially excelling, Cullumpton still had the upper hand and their scrum-half cut through the visitors defence with a sharp try.

In an endeavour to keep the ball alive in the last minute, Yatton had a kick charged down and Cullumpton scored in the last minute, this converted try brought the score to 33-15.

The club was treated by a fantastic firework display sponsored by Firemagic UK for the Hallowe'en celebrations, after the day's play, when young and old joined together for a lively party.
