Weston youth team kept up their title aspirations with a 1-0 win at Oxford United.

A MAKESHIFT Weston side weakened by injury, recorded an impressive victory at Oxford United in the Football Conference Youth Alliance Premier Division to keep their title hopes alive.
Markus Bail took the armband with the full-back providing a defensive pairing with midfielder Toby Yeates and striker Liam Dempsey was employed in midfield.
What turned out to be the only goal, came in the 69th minute when Jake Mawford was felled in the box and Robbie Maggs netted the penalty.
The visitors had chances to increase their lead with Jack Camm going close and both Camm and Maggs hitting the bar.
Weston are next in action in the when they host Bromley Blues at the Woodspring Stadium (2pm) on February 8.
