AUDIENCES’ perception of two of the 20th century’s most influential figures may be somewhat skewed by a new theatrical production, Adolf and Winston, at Bristol Old Vic.

Bristol based actors Stu Mcloughlin and Howard Coggins return to the stage buoyed by the success of their previous Living Spit outing, The Six Wives Of Henry VIII.

The new production jumps forward through the ages to focus on the two wartime leaders.

If one thing is for sure it is that these two are not afraid to tackle the big subjects, yet they do so in an indisputably light-hearted fashion.

Laughs will not be in short supply as the duo play on loose historical facts with Mcloughlin and Coggins performing their own music.

The show will be directed by the co-founder of Shoofy Theatre, Craig Edwards.

His previous work includes Mother Savage (Travelling Light), Romeo And Juliet (Bath Theatre Royal).

Adolf and Winston opens on April 23 and runs until May 11 at the Bristol Old Vic Basement, King Street, Bristol.

Tickets, priced £12 and £8 concessions, are available from the box office on 01179 877877.
