Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is flying into a Bristol theatre this year.

The award-winning BLOC Productions is presenting the musical adventure about a magical car.

In the show, eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts sets out restoring an old race car, but the evil Baron desires the magical vehicle for himself.

BLOC chairman Susanne Donovan said: “We are delighted to have been offered this rare opportunity for a non-professional company to stage Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and are very excited to be bringing it to the Hippodrome, our Bristol home for more than 60 years, in September.”

The show will take place at the Bristol Hippodrome, in St Augustines Parade, from September 18-22 at 7.30pm. Matinees at 2.30pm are on September 19 and 22.

Tickets, priced £22-34, are available at www.atgtickets.com/venues/bristol-hippodrome or on 08448 713012.
